However, the actor was very positive about her body and went back to work while she was pregnant. But not everyone treated her normally. In a recent interview, the ‘Lust Stories’ actor spoke about the double standards of the fashion industry. She said a famous designer whom she thought to be her friend turned her down.

Opening up about going through postpartum depression, she said, “The first time around, I did go through postpartum depression that lasted 8 months,” Hindustan Times quoted her saying.

“The second time around, I bounced back much faster because I knew what I was going through. And nobody else is here to decide. I had so many designers who were so nice and they were making clothes for me.”

While some designers were making beautiful clothes for her, she was turned down by many A-list designers when she wanted to wear fancy clothes for a friend’s wedding.

“Soon after I gave birth, I went to a friend’s wedding and I wanted to wear fancy clothes and I wasn’t fitting into anything.”

“But I had so many A-list designers who I had thought were friends of mine who just turned me down saying, ‘listen we have nothing for you’. The double standards exist everywhere. But I’m okay man, it’s a part of the game. If that’s how they want to treat people, that’s how they want to do it, it’s fine.”

In December last year, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi were seen at Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s intimate wedding.

Seems like this is a common happening in the B-town. Earlier, Yami Gautam was denied outfits by high-end designers as she’s not seen at parties. What do you feel about such double standards in the industry?
