Aditya Narayan Admits He’s Going Bankrupt Ahead Of Wedding: “I’d Have To Sell Off My Bike”

Bollywood playback singer and host Aditya Narayan recently confirmed his relationship with girlfriend Shweta Agarwal. In an interview, he also divulged that they might get married towards the end of this year.

However, today, Aditya, who is also the son of acclaimed singer Udit Narayan, said that even though the wedding is on the cards for them, he is going through some financial trouble owing to the coronavirus lockdown, reported DNA. Despite resuming shooting for Indian Idol as a host, he shared that he had to withdraw his mutual funds to survive amid the lockdown.

He was quoted as saying:

“If the government extends the lockdown even further, people will start dying of hunger. My whole savings are depleted. I’ve literally finished my savings. All the money I had invested in Mutual Funds, I had to withdraw all of that (to survive). Because nobody had planned that I wouldn’t be working for a year and yet chilling it out.”

He further shared that he might have to sell off his bike too.

“Nobody plans it like that. Unless you’re like some billionaire. So, there is no choice. Like I’ve Rs 18,000 left in my account. So, if I don’t start working by October, I would have no money. I would have to sell off my bike or something. It’s really tough. At the end of the day, you’ve to take some harsh calls. When you take those harsh calls, there will be a certain section of people who will say that this decision is incorrect.”

Times are definitely tough for all of us. People across the world are struggling to make ends meet. Let’s hope, like everyone else, Aditya also fights back and comes out victorious.
