Video Shows Man ‘Skiing’ In His Living Room During Coronavirus Lockdown

If there’s one thing, the coronavirus quarantine has taught us, it is that staying indoors can be so much FUN. Granted, we cannot recreate outdoor activities to the T, but if we put our minds to it, we can get pretty close. Whether it is recreating a calming cruise trip or running a 50 km marathon, almost anything is possible.

According to The Indian Express, Philipp Klien, sales planner at SEAT by profession and filmmaker by passion, took to skiing indoors during lockdown. He taped a GoPro to his ceiling and took lots of photos to create a stop-motion animation video.

According to NZ Herald, the skiing enthusiast is currently in Spain and took 6 hours to shoot and 4 hours to edit and add sound effects to the movie. He was quoted saying,

“Just before the current health situation locked us in, I was about to go Freeriding with my family. It was supposed to be the big adventure of the year, the one I had been eagerly awaiting for a year. Therefore, the lockdown had me thinking about skiing the whole time, so I started to think how I could ski without leaving my living room.”

Inspired by his creativity, Antoine Auriol has made a similar movie on kitesurfing indoors. Take a look.

People are amazed at Philipp’s handiwork and are urging him to send his film to the “Quarantine International Film Festival”.
