Aditya Narayan Confirms His Relationship With GF Shweta Agarwal, To Marry By December

Singer and host Aditya Narayan and playback singer Neha Kakkar were the talk of the town after their cute banter on the sets of Indian Idol 11 fanned their link-up rumors. Most of their fans assumed their allegedly ‘scripted’ romance on the reality TV show was the beginning of something new.

But recently, putting all the speculations to rest, Neha Kakkar confirmed her relationship with beau Rohanpreet Singh. She took to social media and shared the good news.

Aditya soon followed suit, opening up about his love life and shared in an interview that he might tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend and ‘Shaapit’ co-star Shweta Agarwal towards the end of this year.

Talking to Times Of India, the singer shared how their relationship bloomed.

“I met Shweta on the sets of ‘Shaapit’ and we hit it off instantly. Slowly and gradually, I realized I was head-over-heels in love and started pursuing her. Initially, she wanted to be ‘just friends’, because we were both very young and needed to focus on our careers.”

“Like every relationship, we have seen a lot of ups-and-downs over the last 10 years. Marriage is just a formality between us now, which hopefully should also happen by November or December. My parents know Shweta and like her a lot. I am happy that I have found my soulmate in her.”

Back in the day, it was speculated that Aditya and Shweta parted ways after a public spat. Talking about it, Aditya said, “I remember a few years ago, how people had assumed that Shweta and I had a big spat on the street and had broken up. After that, it was so difficult for me to even go out with her.”

“I accept that there can be issues in a relationship, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road. Marriages break easily these days, so we were both taking our time to know each other. Now, after a decade, I feel it is the right time to take the plunge.”

Sharing more about his on-set chemistry with Neha, Aditya divulged, “It all started with a joke that was in the script of the show. And people assumed so many things after that. There was no truth to those rumors. Neha is a dear friend and I am happy for her.”

He added, “I have known Rohan since he was the second runner-up of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil’ Champs way back in 2008 that I hosted. I am thrilled that two of my good friends are getting married.”

Well, that’s some great news. We wish the couples a lifetime of happiness.
