It has been over a month since ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ released and fans are still euphoric about it. They’re talking about its best moments, how it improves the previous movies and meme-ing it as well. And while it was a sure shot hit in the U.S., the movie has surprisingly witnessed a very successful run in India as well.
What’s even more surprising is that Indian Marvel fans are very hardcore about their fandom and ‘Infinity War’. Their enthusiasm was apparent when they schooled Amitabh Bachchan for his lack of Marvel knowledge. And now they’ve found their very own desi Thor in none other than Shahid Kapoor.
Shahid Kapoor recently posted a workout image on Instagram and his getup was eerily similar to the God of Thunder, Thor.
Those who’re familiar with Marvel films will spot the similarity between Chris Hemsworth and Shahid Kapoor. But here’s a little primer for the uninitiated. Thor is the God of Thunder and hails from Asgard. He used the hammer Mjolnir to channel his powers. However, after it was destroyed, he has upgraded to a bigger war-axe called the Stormbreaker.
Online graphic artists couldn’t keep themselves from transforming Shahid Kapoor into Thor, and the results are marvelous.

Shahid Kapoor has proven his acting capabilities through movies like ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Kaminey and ‘Haider’. However, he’s yet to take on the role of a superhero. And thanks to these amazing edits, Bollywood or even Marvel, might get the idea of making a superhero movie for him because Shahid’s fans are surely ready to see him in one.
