This shameful incident has not happened for the first time. But the very fact that it has happened again doesn’t make it less despicable.
A senior Congress MLA in Odisha, Naba Kishore Das, caught watching porn clips on his smartphone during the Question Hour.
When questioned about it, he explained that he was just browsing his phone during when he touched the YouTube app by mistake and the objectionable clip popped up.
“The video is on YouTube. The company has sent it and I did not choose it deliberately,” he said.
BJD MLA Pramila Mallick demanded action against Naba Kishore Das saying that it is a matter of shame for all the members, particularly the women. “I demand strong action against him and a probe into the matter,” she said.
She got to know about the incident after local TV channels started airing the clip of the MLA staring at his phone.
Although, the MLA has completely denied that he has ever seen any adult video in his life. He also mentioned that he will give a clarification in the house tomorrow.
“I have never seen any adult video in my life. It appeared accidentally. I immediately shut it down after I noticed it,” he said.
Let’s hope that this shameful incident is not repeated.
