JEE Topper Who Scored 300/300 Wants To Sit For The Exam Again For The Sake Of ‘Practice’

In a world where many students beg the Almighty to grant them ‘pass marks’ in exams, Rajasthan’s Navya Hisaria is running his own race. According to Money Control, the boy scored a perfect 300/300 in JEE Mains session 1 but he still wants to appear for the second session of the exam for the sake of “practice” as it would help him with “time management”.

“These JEE Main attempts teach me how to complete the paper within the given timeframe and manage the time well. One can be fully aware of how much preparation they are by attempting the exam, it is like a practice (JEE Advanced),” he said.

The score from the best of the two attempts will be considered as the final result, so Navya is under no obligation to sit for the next exam. However, not just him, 14 other candidates have scored 300/300 in the exam.

Navya Hisaria is just 17 years old and he wishes to pursue Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay. His father is a businessman and his mother is a social worker. Navya finished his schooling at Apala School of Education in Hanumangarh.

“I spent most of my day studying, my mother supported me a lot through the whole process. We shifted to Sikar and stayed here during my preparation. My mother also came with me so that I don’t feel lonely,” TOI quoted him saying.

According to DNA, Navya was a student of Allen Career Institute in Kota. He claimed that he relied solely on daily homework assignments and notes from his lectures. Just 2-3 months before his class-10 exams, he decided that he wanted to become an engineer.

But things weren’t easy for him. In 2020, he along with his mother shifted to Sikar for his coaching. They rented an apartment for Rs 8,000 but their expenses went up to Rs 15,000 a month.

“It was a little difficult for us to manage the expenses, as last year there was a fire at his father’s factory where we lost everything and had to start from scratch,” said his mother Poonam.

We wish the student all the best in his future endeavours!
