As lockdown 3 begins today, let’s take a moment to express gratitude to all the healthcare professionals who are postponing their weddings, living in cars to protect their families and pasting pictures of their smiling selves on PPE suits to reassure COVID-19 patients.

Just like residents of this apartment building in Bengaluru who came together to cheer and clap for Dr. Vijayashree working at MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital. According to The Indian Express, the heartwarming video was shared by the city’s mayor on Twitter.

People applauded the sweet gesture and reiterated the fact that frontline workers deserve our respect and not harassment.

Earlier, residents of Ambala greeted sanitation workers with garlands and a shower of flower petals to convey their thanks. We salute each and every COVID warrior for helping us through this crisis. Kudos!
