Despite 2020 being one of the most difficult years we have experienced so far, there have been certain events which made us realise that if people join hands to help one another, bad days won’t last for long.
One of such events is the #BabaKaDhaba movement. The story of how an elderly couple, Kanta Prasad and Badami Devi, were able to rise above their struggles all because of a viral video is nothing but inspiring. Overnight, they went from being financially distressed to having customers throng their food joint.
Donations poured in from across the country and finally, the couple were able to see better days. So much so, that Kanta Prasad has opened a new restaurant in New Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, reports News18.
“We’re very happy. God has blessed us. I want to thank people for their help. I appeal to them to visit my restaurant. We will serve Indian & Chinese cuisine here,” said Kanta Prasad.
According to TOI, the new restaurant opened on Monday and has also been named ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’. It is near the couple’s old eatery and they plan on running both. They have also hired two chefs!
