An angry wife and a possessive girlfriend are the last people on the planet anyone would want to irk, right? Remember how a jealous girlfriend smashed a laptop on her boyfriend’s head just for ‘looking at another woman’? Well, then fathom what the repercussions would be if a wife was to catch her dear ‘ol husband romancing another woman in a public place!
Well, that is exactly what happened to a 45-year-old woman from Ahmedabad. TOI reports that she got a call from an acquaintance earlier this week who informed her that her husband was watching ‘Mardaani-2’ in a cinema hall.
At first, the woman didn’t understand why it was a big deal, but when the person on the call explained that he was accompanied by a 35-year-old woman, the wife immediately became suspicious. She decided to check on him herself and barged into the theatre where her husband was enjoying the movie.
The lady was quick to spot her husband romancing another woman at the corner seats of the movie hall. The lady decided to out her rage at her husband and started thrashing him in the public eye.
When the other lady intervened, the man’s wife pulled her hair and thrashed her too. The wife then called the cops on them and explained to them about her husband’s infidelity. According to the police officials, the man had earlier bought tickets to ‘Dabangg-3’, but since the hall was packed, he decided to watch ‘Mardaani-2’ in another hall which was not as crowded.
Officials handling the case informed sources that they couldn’t do anything as IPC 497 (charge of adultery) has been struck down by the Supreme Court last year. The trio was sent back by the cops after counselling them as the woman decided not to file any case on her husband. Although the man escaped police charges, we wonder if at all he was able to enter his house.
