Varun Dhawan Is Okay With Banning Pakistani Actors If The Government Says So

The MNS Chitrapat Sena recently issued an ultimatum to all Pakistani actors in India saying that they must leave the country within 48 hours. This threat was in response to the recent Uri attacks which took the lives of 18 Indian soldiers.

Varun Dhawan recently made a statement saying that if a directive to ban Pakistani actors from the country came from the government, then he would stand by it.

“I will follow what the government of India will say. Jo bhi Bharat sarkar kahegi woh sar ankhon par.”

However, Varun has refused to take sides in the current matter wherein the MNS has demanded the departure of Pakistani actors from the country.

Varun has said that he is willing to accept any decision made by the government without question.

“The government has to say that. (The ban) has to come from the government. And if they take any steps, we will have to see what they do after that. If by banning actors, terrorism can be stopped then they should do it.”

I understand that a government should ideally have all of its citizens’ best interests at heart, however, a country would not remain a democracy if its citizens simply followed any and all government directives without question.
