In the early hours of Sunday morning, four commando-style gunmen, armed with AK-47 rifles and grenades, attacked an Indian army base in Uri, Kashmir. Gunfire was exchanged for over three hours, before Indian soldiers killed the notorious gunmen.
The devastating attack resulted in the death of 17 Indian soldiers. India accused Pakistan of being behind this attack and tensions between the nations have spiked.
