Hero Uttarakhand Cop Saves Man’s Life By Carrying Him 2 Kms Uphill To The Hospital

Everyone who is a part of a job knows about their job description. They do their part, acquire their salary and that’s the end of the story. However, those who’re remembered are usually the ones who do something that’s way above their pay-grade. Like Mumbai’s Urmila Kirdat, who broke the law to save an old man. Or Uttarakhand’s Gagandeep Singh who put his life on the line to save another’s. Or our most recent example, Sub Inspector Lokendra Bahuguna who scaled a mountain to save a life.

According to Uttarakhand Police’s Facebook post, this incident happened during a pilgrimage where Sub Inspector Lokendra Bahuguna was present.

55-year-old Ranjhi Rajag from Madhya Pradesh was on a pilgrimage with his family in Uttarakhand. However, after arriving at the Himalayan Yamunotri shrine, Rajag collapsed near the Bhairo Mandir.

As the road was narrow and Rajag’s family wasn’t able to get him on horseback, it had caused a logjam. Now, for good or for worse, this caught the attention of Lokendra Bahuguna, who appeared at the spot very soon.

It was evident that Rajag was extremely sick and was in need of medical attention. And since Rajag was in no condition to get on a horse, Barkot Police Station in-charge Vinod Thapliyal said that that’s when Bahuguna offered his services,

“With Rajag on his back, the sub inspector walked two kilometers uphill to the hospital where the pilgrim was treated for four hours before being discharged.”

That’s right. Sub Inspector Bahuguna lived up to his surname and carried who must above 50 kgs for two kilometers straight. Now, if that’s not super-heroic, I don’t know what is.

Thanks to Bahuguna’s fearless actions, Rajag survived his minor heart attack. And when he returned to his senses, he thanked the Sub Inspector and even offered prayers in his name at the holy shrine. Honestly, we need more people and cops to be like Lokendra Bahuguna.
