Teacher Schools Kids On Hygiene Amidst Coronavirus, Stamps Their Hands So They Wash It

When news of the Coronavirus outbreak hit worldwide, the Health Ministry in India issued a list of precautionary measures to keep people safe. Some of them included maintaining good personal hygiene, washing hands regularly, using hand sanitisers, and keeping the nose and mouth covered with a face mask.

To teach children about personal hygiene amidst the coronavirus pandemic, a class-3 teacher from Missouri, the United States, named Mrs Woods, used a ‘stamp hack’ which has been going viral on the internet, reports Hindustan Times. Mrs Woods stamps the students’ hands and asks them to wash it frequently until the stamp mark is gone. This is to ensure that the kids wash their hands frequently.

She also gives out prizes to students who can wash the stamp-mark away by the end of the day.

According to ABC News, Mrs Woods took to Facebook to post pictures of stamping students’ hands and explained the hack.

“We are doing our best in room 550 to keep the germs away. Students got stamps on their hands this morning. If it’s gone by the end of the day from washing their hands, they get a prize,” she wrote.
