This year in August, film producer and stylist Rhea Kapoor tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Karan Boolani. From her family home in Juhu, she has now shifted to her own apartment in Bandra. In an interview with Vogue, Rhea described her house as a “comfortable yet voguish family home to share, chill and dine in.”
Rhea Kapoor and Karan’s home isn’t “ultra-feminine”, as she describes it. It is a mix of soft ombre hues, a neutral palette, wooden floors, family heirlooms, along with vintage and contemporary elements.
“The result is a 1,800 sqft three-bedroom apartment designed in the mid-century modern style. The refurbished wood floors, soothing beige and white hues, along with the wooden and cane accents, give it a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. Strewn around are well-curated mix-and-match curio clusters, like the wooden candlesticks and terracotta vase on a repurposed antique console that belongs to Kapoor’s mother Sunita. Colours are layered through art, textiles and flowers. Candles are lit everywhere. And the guest bedroom has been turned into Kapoor’s dressing room. The effect is timeless but contemporary,” describes Vogue.

The upholstery consists of throws, cushions, bedding and bolsters in neutral shades.
It can be said that the apartment is the brainchild of Rhea, as being a stylist comes with an ingrained aesthetic sense. When it comes to Karan, Rhea revealed, “The only thing he wanted was a wood and marble bar and a library outside the den, as he is a voracious reader.”
Doesn’t her home look gorgeous?
