I have come across a lot of weddings. While every union is special in its own way, I won’t lie, some take the trophy home. Marriages that celebrate love beyond religions and weddings that paid homage to love more than just once (over 4 times)! But in the truest sense, I have never seen a nuptial like one, you’ll find below.
In an instance that is no less than a milestone, a couple in Nagpur got married in front of friends and relatives but was officiated by a woman priest.
Change begins at home. When my niece got married yesterday in Nagpur, wedding ceremony was presided by women priests. pic.twitter.com/TvVV7umX7y

No, that is not all.
According to reports, the couple, Ashay Shahasrabuddhe and Shivada Chauthaiwale, also ditched the prevalent Hindu custom of ‘kanyadaan’ that literally translates to ‘giving away of the bride.’
Ashay is the son of BJP vice president, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and Shivada is the niece of BJP’s foreign affairs cell head, Vijay Chauthaiwale; daughter of Shreya and Shriram Chauthaiwale.
Nayana Sahasrabuddhe, the mother of the bridegroom, told The Hindu that she knew what kind of wedding she wanted for her son.Â
Nayana Sahasrabuddhe is also the vice president of Bharatiya Stree Shakti Sanghanthanam, Nagpur.
While many weddings have made it to the headlines for their beautiful pictures and grandiosity, this wedding right here has made way into our hearts. Truly wish we had more like these families. On that note, congratulations, you guys!
