Whenever a married cricketer performs badly, people somehow link their poor form to their marriage and blame their wives for it. Remember when former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar said marriage has affected Virat Kohli’s career? Well, he’s not alone who thinks this way.

Recently, a short video of an audio discussion between cricket fans has been circulating online wherein the unidentified man is reasoning the bad performance of Indian cricketers in the ongoing T20 Asia Cup.
So, during his discussion with a resident of Pakistan on India vs Pakistan bowlers, the desi man says in Hindi that the performance of bowlers has deteriorated after they got married.
“Aapke jo Pakistan ke tez bowler kheltey haina vo unmarried log khelte hai aur humarey Bhuvneshwar (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) vageera. Bumra (Jasprit Bumrah) jo tha jab uski shadi se pehle khelta tha toh usi pace 144-143-142 touch karti thi. Lekin jabse uski shaadi hui hai vo 135 pe he attak gaya hai.”
(The Pakistani bowlers that play are unmarried unlike our Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah. When Bumrah was unmarried, his pace would touch 144-143-142. But after his marriage, it decreased and got stuck at 135.)

Comparing Indian bowlers to Pakistan’s Haris Rauf, he added, “Aap Haris Rauf ko dekho kitna tez fekta hai. Wasim Akram k saath bhi aesa hua hai, unki shaadi hui toh unki pace kum ho gai. Toh ye bhi ek factor rehta hai.”
(Look at your Haris Rauf, he throws so fast. This problem also happened with Wasim Akram. After he got married his pace decreased. So, this is also one factor.)
Highlighting another factor, the Indian man added, “Diet ka toh factor rehta he hai. Humarey Bhuvneshwar Kumar ki favourite dish hai Dal Makhni hai aur aapkey Haris Rauf ki Mutton Korma vageera hai.”
(Diet is another major factor. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s favourite dish is Dal Makhni and Haris Rauf likes Mutton Korma.)
He further divulged that marriage is a distraction.
“Aapke Pakistani bowler dhyaan nhi bhatkaatey. Vo din raat bowling, tez bowling bas yehe sochtey hai. Aur humarey tarf boht cheezein hai jaise abhi wife kya kar rahi hogi, uskey liye kya shopping karni hai kya nahi, boht stress rehta hai. Aur aapke Pakistani bowlers stress-free rehte hai.”
(Your Pakistani bowlers don’t have distractions like these. They only think of bowling day and night. Whereas Indian married bowlers are stressed over what are their wives doing, where to take them to shop etc. Your bowlers are stress-free.)

Tsk tsk. Yeh to cheating ho gai. ICC should make a rule that only married bowlers should be allowed to play international tournaments. Also, anyone who eats mutton quorma should be permanently banned from int'l cricket. 😂🤡 https://t.co/iOkUDlCLur
