The government has announced that the lockdown would be further extended by 2 weeks. However, certain relaxations would be permitted in areas which have not been severely affected by the coronavirus. Districts have been divided into red, orange, and green zones according to the number of reported COVID-19 cases.
As a relaxation, the Ministry of Home Affairs announced that liquor shops will be allowed to open in green zones, reports News18. However, it must be ensured that customers stand six-feet away from each other and that liquor shops shouldn’t entertain more than 4 customers at a time.
The internet broke into memes when this announcement was made, reveals sources. While it was time for celebration for people living in green zones, those living in red zones can’t cope with the sadness!
