Khalsa Aid Offers Langar On Ukraine-Poland Border, In Train & Assigns Relief Teams Amid War

Thousands of people living in Ukraine are trying to flee the country including Indian students, videos of whom earlier surfaced online where they were seen asking the Indian government for help. However, there was this one Indian student who refused to come back to the country without his dog. Then there was another who decided to stay back to take care of her landlord’s children after he joined the Ukrainian army.

We are able to read terrific stories of humanity after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began. One such story is that of Khalsa Aid, the non-profit humanitarian organization dominantly run by Sikhs who arrived in various parts of the Ukraine border to help those in need.

As many people are currently fleeing the country and there is a lack of food and water, Khalsa Aid is distributing langars (free meals) on the Ukraine-Poland border to refugees.

Khalsa Aid has assigned relief teams on the ground in 4 countries including Poland, Moldova, Slovakia and Romania to help those trying to flee Ukraine. The organization’s founder Ravinder Singh took to Twitter to make the announcements.

Ravinder Singh also posted a video of a Sikh gentleman named Hardeep Singh who was spotted providing langar to students in a train travelling from east to west Ukraine.

We salute these people who are putting their lives in danger to help others!
