Indo-Pak Couple Wearing Half-and-Half Jerseys At The World Cup Shows The True Spirit Of Cricket!

Liverpool vs. Manchester United, Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal, Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. These are some of the biggest sporting rivalries in the world. But, for us desi folk nothing comes close to an Indo-Pak cricket match. Especially during the World Cup. The stakes are high and the excitement is through the roof. Which was exactly the case yesterday when both the teams clashed at Old Trafford, Manchester.

And it certainly didn’t disappoint. Rohit Sharma’s brilliant 140 runs off113 balls and Kuldeep Yadav’s exemplary skill with the ball ensured that the Men in Blue came out on top.

There was another sweet moment at the match though, that bowled over cricket fans from both nations. This Indo-Pak couple that sported half-and-half jerseys and promoted the true spirit of the game!

Twitter user @KaulLakshmi spotted them in the stands and shared their story on social media. The wife is Indian and her husband is from Pakistan. The couple was cheering for both the competing teams by wearing these unique jerseys.

Their message of peace and brotherhood was appreciated by one and all.

Don’t they remind you of another couple that embodies the same spirit? You guessed it, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik!
