It’s become a popular trend of Twitter to tweet to Gordon Ramsay asking him to rate food items. You could ask him to rate stuff you’ve prepared or even something from pop culture like “Does pineapple go well with pizza?”. Recently, Rameez from India tweeted to Ramsay asking him to rate his medu wada-chutney and his response was SAVAGE.

I didn't know you can tweet from prison https://t.co/rxrPPBonff

Soon after Ramsay’s tweet, the dedicated Indian team of Twitter-ville flung into action:
1. He was cautioned.
Watch out man, that's everyday food for half of southern India!☺

2. But soon, it was a bloodbath.
Every cuisine that you're ignorant about is not from prison!https://t.co/LlJI65sJD7

3. No holds barred!
@GordonRamsay you never insult Indian food. You will never find anything tastier. Try going to prison to check the difference!

4. Booommm!
The food looks normal plate of Vada, Sambar and chutney. Unless you mean normal Indian food is only good for prison.

5. Buuurrrnnn!
Well at least this prison food tastes a lot better than your half cooked steak😑

8. Oh, somebody made an important observation.
he's not talking about the food. He's talking about the plate. The plate looks exactly like those in prison. 😅

9. Yeah Gordon, rookie mistake.

Soon enough, we had a debate on our hands:
11. Dipped… or separate?

12. People were WAY too passionate about this. 😛
Dipped is more yummyy !! 😍
— Harjeet fan account (@supreeth28) April 6, 2017
13. Aaaanndd… escalation.
Civil war version vada sambar. #TeamSeparate
— Wicky (@Wicknes007) April 6, 2017
14. This means WAR!
Please!!! Separate
— Siddartha.I (@sid_i36) April 6, 2017
15. Yeah, not gonna happen. 😛

Of course, Ramsay’s comments may not have been taken in the right spirit by some. But he did accomplish one very important thing. Ramsay managed to bring focus to a severely underrated issue: Medu Wada – To dip or not to dip.
Cheers, Gordon Ramsay!
