B-town Unites, Urging People To Stay Home & Obey 21-Day Lockdown Protocols

Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday addressed the nation again and announced a 21-day lockdown across India starting today. The lockdown was announced as a precautionary measure given the critical situation of the country due to the coronavirus outbreak. He urged people to take the pandemic seriously and not cross the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ of their homes at any cost, reported HT.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also issued guidelines for the 21-day lockdown.

Soon after PM’s speech, many B-Town celebs also took to social media and requested their followers to adhere to the lockdown protocol.

Urging people to stay at home, Asha Bhosle wrote:

Actor Anil Kapoor wasn’t far behind in encouraging to support the lockdown.

The power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli also urged people to follow government protocols in tackling the coronavirus.

‘Thappad’ actor Taapsee Pannu took to Twitter and said that these days are not a lot for us in return for our lives.

‘Kabir Singh’ actor Shahid Kapoor also urged people to be at home and stay safe.

Reassuring people that this too shall pass, Rishi Kapoor tweeted:

Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel agreed with the 3 weeks lockdown, calling it a pathbreaking action.

Many other well-known B-town celebs, from Riteish Deshmukh to Neha Dhupia and Shreya Ghoshal, also supported the 21-day lockdown.

Here’s what they said.

We know staying at home 24×7 for the next three weeks is a huge task. But at the rate in which the novel coronavirus is reducing the world population, it is sensible to stay at home. Jaan bachi toh laakho pae, right?
