Weddings are supposed to be one of the most important days for couples. But there are bizarre stories that keep popping up from various parts of the country. For example, there have been incidents where a man married two women at the same time on the same mandap. There was also this one case where after the bride’s sudden death on her wedding day, the groom ended up marrying her sister.
And now, in an incident that was reported from Rajasthan’s Churu district, a bride downright refused to marry the groom after he got drunk and continued to dance with his friends, causing a massive delay in the rituals.
According to India Today, the baarat set off for the bride’s house at 9 PM. The wedding was supposed to take place at 1.15 AM. But the groom kept on dancing to the DJ’s beats.
The bride and her family had enough of his nuisance. After being frustrated for waiting for a long time, the bride asked the baarati to return. Her family decided to marry her off to someone else.
The next day, the groom filed a complaint against the bride’s family at the Rajgarh police station. After the police’s interference, both parties called off the wedding citing family issues.
