It all started 3 years ago when he met a 21-year-old Tribal girl named Sundari when he went to install electricity poles in Tokpal area. They both kept in touch over phone calls and planned to eventually get married.
1 year later, Chandu fell in love again when 20-year-old Haseena Baghel reached his village Tikralohnga to attend a relative’s marriage. When Haseena too expressed her love for him, he confessed that he was already in a relationship. But Haseena insisted that they too keep in touch over the phone.

Chandu, who lived with his parents and 2 siblings explained, “Both Haseena and Sundari came to know about each other and agreed to have a relationship with me. We were in touch over the phone but one-day Haseena landed at my home to live with me. When Sundari came to know that Haseena is here, she also came to me. And since then, we started living in the same house as a family.”
Tre trio lived-in together for a year. When his family members and other villagers started questioning him about his live-in relationship with the 2 women, he decided to marry them both. He said, “Fed-up with the questions, I decided to marry both of them because they both loved me. I can’t betray them. They agreed they both will live with me forever.”
While Haseena’s parents attended the marriage, Sundari’s family chose to skip it. However, Sundari remains hopeful that her parents would eventually come around. She said, “They are not happy with me today but things will change. Both Haseena and me are very happy with Chandu and his family and will live with him forever.”
