Banker’s LinkedIn Profile Visits Up By 36% After Parag Agrawal Gets Fired From Twitter

Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter was sudden, monumental and to a certain extent hilarious. The billionaire literally arrived at the Twitter headquarters with a sink for people to ‘sink in’ his takeover of the company – if this is not funny I don’t know what is. Following this, news of 4 top executives at Twitter, including CEO Parag Agrawal, getting fired made headlines.

It’s only natural that people would Google search for Parag Agrawal after his exit from the company. However, another guy with the same name, Parag Agrawal, a banker, found that his LinkedIn profile views increased by 36%. So, like a responsible adult, he changed his profile page headline to, “Not the CEO you are looking for.”

Have a look:

“After the Twitter CEO was fired, my profile views have shot up by 36 percent. So, to help folks with finding the right Parag, I have changed my profile page headline,” he wrote on LinkedIn.

And people online thought that it was a hilarious thing to do. While some called him a ‘genius’, others took the opportunity to crack even funnier jokes! Have a look:

This reminds me of the times when cricketer Ashish Nehra got mistaken for UK’s new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Arbaaz Khan got mistaken for Roger Federer. Can’t help but love the internet sometimes!
