So, in April 2022, Elon Musk dominated headlines that informed the masses that the Tesla head has “almost” bought the micro-blogging site Twitter for a whopping 44 billion dollars (Rs 3,36,62,64,00,00,00,000 approx). Twitter announced the $54.20-per-share deal after a meeting with its shareholders. Musk also went public and announced that he is willing to make Twitter “better than ever” with new features promoting freedom of speech and removing bots from the site.

However, later, Elon Musk seemed to have backed out of the deal. In July 2022, Elon Musk announced that he will not be going forward with the deal as Twitter refused to provide him with usable and concrete data on fake accounts or bots. Following this, Twitter sued him and the court gave him a deadline by which he had to buy the company.

According to India Today, the court has given both sides until October 28 to work out details failing which they will be going for a trail in November.

Musk, who has a rather bizarre sense of humour, arrived at the Twitter headquarters with a literal sink in hand as his buyout date approaches. He shared a video on Twitter and captioned it, “Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!”

Apparently, he was on his way to meet the “cool people at Twitter.” He has also changed his Twitter bio to “Chief Twit”, whatever that means.

This was Musk’s latest tweet and we have been waiting with bated breath to see what happens next!
