Some couples even come up with quirky ideas to make their wedding a memorable one just like this one from Kolkata’s Rajarhat area. Taking the card game to a whole new level, this newlywed couple decided to print the food menu at their wedding as an Aadhaar card leaving the guests in awe. The pictures of their wedding food menu have been creating a lot of buzz on social media.
The creative heads behind this innovative menu card, bride Subarna Das and groom Gogol Saha, said that they were ecstatic about seeing the attention that their creation is getting. According to News18, the unique Aadhaar card themed food menu is the brainchild of the bride who is apparently a healthcare worker.
Talking about it the groom said, “It was my wife Subarna’s thought, and as we both support ‘Digital India’ what could have been a better way to show support than this?”
He shared how the guests were floored on seeing the card. “Many even asked me if I left my Aadhaar card on the dining table, and this was extremely funny,” added Saha.
Some online even joked how they would need a voter ID to attend their reception.
The couple, Gogol Saha & Subarna Das are both residents of Rajarhat area of Kolkata, West Bengal who tied the knot on February 1 got their wedding food menu printed like an Aadhaar card.

The menu contained starters such as Chicken Lollypop, Crispy Babycorn, Coffee, etc, followed by traditional Bengali dishes for the main course. Behind the card, it had the caterer’s name along with ‘the card valid only today’ printed on it. They even had their wedding date i.e., February 1 printed on it as their Aadhaar card number with a barcode.
Well, over time, people have been coming up with distinctive wedding cards too. While some like cricketer Yuvraj Singh get their caricatures printed on it, others come up with cards that resonated with their ideology or wedding theme.
Soon-to-be-married couples can surely take inspiration from these creative and wacky cards.
