I love watching (and subsequently trying out) viral videos with clever hacks. Whether it is about a mother tricking her toddler into eating healthy food, fixing a broken sink with Maggi or even using a fork to fix a broken zipper.
Twitter user @backt0nature recently shared one that showed how to easily (and quickly) peel a hard-boiled egg using just a glass and some water, reports Hindustan Times.

The genius video quickly went viral garnering over 91,000 views. It was retweeted by many people who found peeling eggs a chore and were overjoyed to find a much simpler method.
Wow! What a clever idea! I'll try that next time I boil eggs!

However, the running water in the background didn’t go unnoticed. Many called out the ‘lifehack man’ for wasting water by not turning off the faucet. One user suggested that he should fill a bowl with water and re-use it for every egg peeled. Take a look.
God, that was my first reaction too. It's a precious resource!

it really bothers me that he didn't turn off the faucet

While I’m impressed by the trick, remember to turn off the tap the next time you do this. Kills me to watch such wastage of water.

Put some water in a bowl and reuse it, lifehack-man!

Many parts of the world are facing an acute shortage of clean, drinking water. Which is why it is not surprising to see the junta calling out the maker of this video for wasting the natural resource. I mean, even monkeys are wise enough to understand that taps need to be closed after use and leaking pipes have to be fixed.
