Woman Trolls Person Trying To Scam Her On WhatsApp, Shares Screenshots Of Funny Conversation

The number of messages and calls we get from people trying to scam us is increasing day by day. These scammers usually impersonate a banking personality, a person trying to hire candidates for a job or make fake accounts of people whom we know and send us a link to click on for some reason or the other. The moment we click on the link, either our phones are hacked or our social media accounts.

While there is a lot of awareness surrounding such scams, people who are naive and trusting often fall victim to such scammers. But a woman named Udita Pal isn’t one of them.

Taking to Twitter, Udita, who is the co-founder of a Bengaluru-based fintech company, shared screenshots of her conversation with a scammer on WhatsApp. The person on the other end pretends to work for a company in Mumbai and offers her a job. All they want her to do is click on a YouTube link they sent her, ‘like’ it and subscribe to the channel.

However, Udita decides to have some fun. She pretends to be naive and serious about taking the job and plays along.

To hint that she knows that the person is trying to scam her, she sends a screenshot of another YouTube video that’s named “Caught some idiot trying to scam.” But the scammer doesn’t get it.

So she sends the message across again.

When the scammer finally realises that Udita has understood their intentions, they block her.

Here’s a look at Udita’s tweets:

While a lot of people online shared a good laugh, many expressed their concern regarding the increasing number of messages and calls they get from people trying to scam them. Here’s how some of them responded:

People, please be aware of such scams and never click on any kind of link that is being sent to you from an unknown person or from a dupe account of someone you know.
