At 76, Usha Uthup Sings Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ & Indians Now Want A Collab

When in 2013 Miley Cyrus released ‘Wrecking Ball’, the world thought that it would be the biggest hit song of her life. But they were wrong. 10 years later in 2023, Miley released ‘Flowers’ and THAT went on to become the biggest hit of her career, even bigger than ‘Wrecking Ball’ could ever be. ‘Flowers’ is possibly the biggest self-love anthem made yet and it recently earned Cyrus her first-ever Grammy Award.

There are several renditions of the song that have been released until now. But for us, there is one that takes home the cake – and that is one by Usha Uthup. At 76 years of age, Usha Uthup was spotted at Trincas, Kolkata, singing the song live for an enthusiastic audience. For her to sing ‘Flowers’ at Trincas – the place where she started her singing career – seems like a full-circle moment.

Here’s a video of her performing the song:

Saree, bindi and flowers in her hair, how gracefully she sings the beautiful song. It is truly an incredible sight to behold. And hence, several people online cheered on for her and tagged Cyrus in the comments demanding a collaboration! Here’s how some of them reacted:

Would have done anything to watch the legend perform this song live! 😀
