Last week, FSSAI ordered all liquor companies in India to put a statutory warning about the health risks associated with drinking alcohol on the label. However, given the recent news coming from Mumbai, they should’ve also advised to put up a warning about the behavioural changes that occur after consuming alcohol.
According to DNA India, TV actress Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh has been booked by Mumbai police for misbehaving with police officers and driving under the influence of alcohol.
At around 2 AM, Ruhi and her friends Rahul and Swapnil arrived at a KFC outlet on the Khar stretch of Linking Road. However, as it was closed, they asked the trio to leave. But they didn’t and started to bang at the door and abuse the staff.
The staffers called the police and that’s when the trio misbehaved with them, even going to the extent of assaulting them. Rahul and Swapnil were arrested immediately. However, Ruhi was allowed to leave because apparently, a female accused can’t be arrested after sunset.
An hour later, Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh was found in an inebriated state with her car crashed into five vehicles due to speeding. Manoj Kumar Sharma, additional commissioner of police said,
“Santacruz police reached the spot and took her medical samples to check if she was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked in a separate case and then allowed to leave. We have received reports of her blood and medical tests, which have confirmed that she was inebriated at the time of the incident.”
So, in addition to being booked for hurting a public servant and causing misconduct, Ruhi was also booked for rash driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sadly, another TV actress by the name of Ruhi Singh has been dragged into this mess. She has clarified to Times of India that she isn’t the actress in the video,
“I am very shocked and confused and highly disappointed and surprised as well. Because these mainstream media houses like Zee News and India TV didn’t check their facts before using my pictures, which has done irreparable damage to my reputation.”
She further added,
“I am really angry and I am going to take legal action. It’s shameful that they never checked the facts and they are running the story with my name and photograph. There’s a video that clearly shows who was involved in the incident and they are still tagging me. It looks like an attempt to ruin my career.”
Reportedly, Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh is yet to be arrested. But given how she’s been booked by the police, it’s only a matter of time before the police get to her. And, once that’s done, let’s hope that Ruhi Singh’s name is cleared.
