Remember The Bengaluru Bus Stop That Was Allegedly Stolen? Turns Out It Was Faulty & Removed

Just a few days ago, an entire bus stop being allegedly stolen by thieves in Bengaluru made headlines. Many people were left confused because they couldn’t figure out how a bunch of thieves could steal a bus stop without getting noticed. The bus stop was being constructed on Cunningham Road, cost Rs 10 lakh, and was being maintained by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation.

But as it turns out, the bus stop was not actually stolen. According to Times Now, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) removed it because its construction was faulty.

After the bus stop vanished a few days after it was built, an FIR was filed and the cops had to go through footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the area.

According to the Deccan Herald, the decision to relocate the bus stop to the warehouse was made on August 25 to ensure the safety of the public because it was apparently a potential threat to the passing vehicles and commuters seeking refuge underneath.

Pretty sure nobody saw that coming!
