The Star Wars fandom is probably anything unlike we have ever seen. It goes way past the kind of popularity that Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, or Game of Thrones has. No matter which generation you belong to or whether you’re into pop-culture at all, if you haven’t grown up watching Star Wars, you’re definitely missing out on something great.
There’s some good news for Star Wars fans! Disney has unveiled the Star Wars themed hotel ‘Galactic Starcruiser’ in its latest D23 convention. The hotel is currently being developed in Disney World, Florida.
A trip to the Galactic Starcruiser comprises of 2 nights 3 days stay, no longer no less. If you do not have enough reasons to board the ship already, know that Kylo Ren and the First Order will be on board as well!
Although the hotel is windowless, it is set with screens which give the impression of really being in a galaxy far, far away!
The hotel resembles an intergalactic spaceship called the Halcyon. The coolest part of the Starcruiser is the check-in process. Sources reveal that guests will then be “invited to enter a launch pod for transport into space”.
“When the launch pod ‘docks’ with the halcyon and the airlock opens, guests will step into the ship’s main deck atrium to begin their journey”.
Passengers will be interacting with several Star Wars characters and will be served by an “alien crew”.
Out of the several activities you can engage in, training with a Lightsaber is undoubtedly the best thing ever! You can also visit the Starcruiser’s bridge and learn everything about spaceship’s systems and how to operate them.
Even though the opening date of the Starcruiser hasn’t been finalised, it is rumoured that the entire stay would cost over Rs. 1 lakh per head.
