Actress Shikha Malhotra Who’s Been Serving As A Nurse Speaks About Suffering A Stroke & Paralysis

Shikha Malhotra, an actress and frontline worker, recently opened up about her recovery after she suffered from a stroke and paralysis that affected the right side of her body. The actor, who has worked in films like ‘Fan’ and ‘Kaanchli’, mentioned that she is showing signs of improvement but the process is very slow, reports TOI.

She was quoted saying by HT,

“My health is improving but the process is slow. I’m not sure when I will be able to walk again.”

The 26-year-old was initially admitted to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital. But as she didn’t show any signs of improvement, she was later shifted to KEM Hospital. She further mentioned how she is going through a very tough phase in life. Shikha also urged people that she needs their support as she is very passionate about her acting career.

Working in the time of this global health crisis, Shikha had been volunteering as a frontline nurse with no salary in Mumbai’s Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Municipal Hospital for the past 6 months. She even updated her followers about her journey as a nurse.

However, the actor, who has a graduate degree in nursing from Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safrdarjung Hospital, had tested positive for the coronavirus sometime back. She had then urged people to take the pandemic seriously.

We salute Shikha for her immense courage and wish her a speedy recovery.
