Ever since Aryan Khan’s arrest and the subsequent rejections of his bail plea, Shahrukh Khan and his family have been receiving immense support from his fans and people from the entertainment industry. While many are stationed outside Mannat with posters reading ‘We stand with SRK’, innumerable people on social media are extending their support.
Hashtags such as #WeSupportSRK and #IStandWithSRK have been trending on Twitter. What’s noteworthy is that many have been sharing good memories of the actor, his simplicity and his kindness. Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who sang ‘Titli’ in Chennai Express recently shared a touching story about SRK. Have a look:
Thread.
Years ago, when I sang Titli in Chennai Express, a superstar tagged me and said I sounded like love. If I remember right, it was the first time an actor, anywhere had said anything nice about my singing.
I remember laughing and crying at the same time.— Chinmayi Sripaada (@Chinmayi) October 21, 2021
My mother noticed, and put out a long tweet, about everything she observed and a general thank you – because I am not the type to get excited in general for anything at all.
I went to the Chennai Express Audio launch. A person remembered that LOOOONG essay my mother wrote,— Chinmayi Sripaada (@Chinmayi) October 21, 2021
…word for word – and asked me to convey his respects to my mother. Cut to a few hours later, I was saying bye, taking leave of everyone, and he said he’ll speak to my mother. I thought he was joking and he wasn’t. He took my phone, spoke to my mother for some 15 minutes

Made her feel like the most special being in the entire world and returned my phone. Cut to several days later when he came to Chennai – He took the effort to cut across a huge room with people waiting, found my mother and took her blessing by touching her feet.

I will never forget how this man made me feel. How he made my mother feel.
He was such a breath of fresh air and I knew a Superstar like him could be this sincerely, genuinely nice. He did NOT have to be that nice. But he did.— Chinmayi Sripaada (@Chinmayi) October 21, 2021
I was and will remain inconsequential in the scheme of things but the brief meeting I had with him is etched in our memory.
Whatever’s going on, is beyond my comprehension but I do pray that the difficult times that his family is going through, passes. #ShahRukhKhan

This was the tweet. And he replied. From the barrage of tweets that he was getting that day.
(And seeing the replies to my tweet, several years on, makes me see people in new light 😃) pic.twitter.com/7HjD5L5df6

There were also others who shared tales of meeting SRK and how he was welcoming and made them feel loved.
Shah Rukh Khan. Gracious. Warm. Kind. Loving. Always there 2 lend a ear 2 every1. I remembr years ago, I'd met him at Mehboob Studios. He was shooting. Waiting anxiously for baby Aaryan 2 arrive. A memory I remember in detail. Lil Aaryan cradled in his loving father's arms…(1)

Sleeping peacefully… SRK so proudly carried him all over the sets. Even introduced the adorable, sleepy, tiny tot to me…
Have so many cherished memories of the wonderful gracious man that he is. Im yet to meet a superstar like Shah Rukh Khan 💔
Khan't stop loving you SRK ♥️ https://t.co/yWipy7T7Yb— Upala KBR ❤ (@upalakbr999) October 21, 2021
I was to interview #ShahRukhKhan for a movie. After waiting for nearly two hours, and expecting a cancellation, we got to know the delay was because SRK was running high fever. He had already cancelled his studio visits to TV channels that day…

Knowing that a handful of journalists were waiting for him already, he came over and apologised with folded hands for keeping us waiting… #ShahRukhKhan promised to talk, which he did a day later…

PS: #JustSaying, because we speak to dozens of actors who never value the time and energy of others. They are stars! #SRK is also one, but his ways are different

Mr favourite SRK story was the first person account from my niece. She was an AD on ‘Fan’ and they were shooing in London. One day after wrap up, @iamsrk invited all the assistants, of all departments to his house for dinner. Only assistants. No seniors or HODs… so all the

assistants of all departments (Direction, Camera, Sound, Costumes, Art Director, Production etc) were at his place. And he had carefully chosen return gifts for all. Everyone got a book about their field of interest. My niece got a published screenplay of a film and a book on

screenwriting. And all those books were personally signed by SRK. It remains the most prized possession of my niece till date.

Many also expressed the belief that Shahrukh Khan is the very embodiment of love and diversity in our country.
Shahrukh Khan is an example of grace & decent conduct. To me, he represents the best qualities of India as an idea. He is an inspiration to me personally. 💜✨
Sending him & Gauri love, strength & all my prayers!— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) October 21, 2021
I have liked @iamsrk as an actor. Am not his biggest fan. More inclined towards Aamir always. But his initial films give me goosebumps.
As a human being, he comes across as a symbol of a diverse country. All I can say to him: Tough times don't last. Tough people do. https://t.co/FVdpXMFBwC

Heartbreaking to see the man who taught a whole bunch of us to love, at the receiving end of so much hate and vitriol. SRK Forever. SRK Always!
— Bedatri D Choudhury (@Bedatri) October 21, 2021
Shah Rukh Khan is India's love language. Try as you may, you can't turn that into hate. ❤️ #SRK #InSolidarity

The fact that most of us have a personal SRK story — where he has taught us love, humility, wit or grace — despite never having met him speaks volumes about what #ShahRukhKhan is made of. Hoping and praying that this political witch-hunt doesn't break him or his family.

Everyone has an #SRK story. And so do I. Stories, in fact. Unable to pen down a single one now. All I know is that every time I am in love, I owe it to SRK. He taught us romance, of course. But he also taught us kindness in love, an aspect I hold on to so tightly now.

It’s gutting to witness the hounding of #SRK. It feels personal, it is personal. Sometimes I wonder if he’ll forgive usm Or those maintaining that terrifying silence in #Bollywood, his home?

The Bombay High Court is to hear Aryan Khan’s bail plea on October 26 after the special NDPS court rejected his case.
