Rohit Sharma Posts An Emotional Message Saying Yuvraj Singh Deserved A Better Send-Off & Fans Agree!

“It’s was a great rollercoaster ride and beautiful story but it has to come to an end,” the star cricketer Yuvraj Singh said as he announced his retirement from the game. The aggressive left-hander played a pivotal role in bringing home the trophy at the 2007 World T20 as well as the 2011 World Cup.

With a total of 304 ODIs, 40 Tests and 58 T20Is matches, Singh hoarded 11,778 international runs. The entire nation was left teary-eyed (with some huge Yuvi maniacs even sobbing) as he hung up his boots on Monday.

The entire nation, fans, Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, sportspersons and politicians came forward to bid their adieu to Yuvraj Singh as a cricketer.

Indian cricket team opener, Rohit Sharma, too posted a message for Singh and said that he deserved a better send off. “You don’t know what you got till its gone. Love you brotherman You deserved a better send off,” he wrote.

Fans have also agreed to Rohit and believe that he should have got a chance to play the farewell match.

Yuvraj’s retirement came as a shock to everyone as he did not play a farewell match. But Singh, in the press conference said that he never wanted to play one!

“I did not tell anyone in BCCI that I have to play the last match. Agar main accha tha, potential tha toh main ground pe se chale jaata. (If I was good enough, I would have retired from the ground). Aur mujhe is tarha ki cricket khelna pasand nahi hai, ki mujhe ek match chahiye (I don’t like to ask for a game, I have never played the game with that mindset),” he said, reports HT.

We will always miss watching Yuvraj Singh hitting the ball across the stadium with his thunderous sixes! Not sure about the send-off, but the love and respect he has amassed in our hearts is certainly very well-deserved!
