How often have you heard people talk about body-positivity for women? Probably a number of times. But, wait. Have you ever heard someone talk about plus-sized men? Well, while it’s refreshing that the world is becoming more inclusive towards curvy women, it’s important that we be more considerate towards bigger men too.
Speaking of which, it seems like Rihanna has taken a revolutionary step towards inclusivity in a true sense. RiRi, who is expanding her Savage X Fenty lingerie line, has now included a men’s collection with REAL models. The singer’s website displays her new collection that includes plus-sized men, dad bods, and other body types too.
Yass queen! In today’s digital age, where people often photoshop their pictures to look flawless, it’s welcoming to see the star include real people to promote her brand.
Many people applauded Rihanna’s body-positive approach towards her innerwear. In fact, men even opened up about their struggles and said they are happy that they are being represented like this.
Never in my adult life have I seen a male model that has a similar body to mine. I feel… almost emotional? Like I finally can buy something I saw and want and KNOW it was made for people like me in mind 😭

Big men, just like women, are hardly ever represented in advertising but as Rihanna has proven here, the industry may want to rethink this https://t.co/wiF5iRSU8b

A few years ago I began noticing a lot of positive comments about women's stretch marks not being photoshopped in modeling photos because so many people felt represented by that.
This is my first time seeing the same with men, and I wonder how it's received by men.

As someone with a 'dad bod' it makes me really happy too, I struggle to keep a weight I would prefer because of disability and medication, I do try as hard as possible to promote body positivity in any and all body types and genders, but it's still difficult for myself sometimes

Yes….if only women were so lucky to have the same reception from men and ALL of social media….we are all beautiful…in all the ways. I love seeing Rhianna representing everyone in her brands….she knows that we aren’t factory models…we’re different and we are all valued

I just realized i have never seen a male model with a body type close to mine that wasn't there as a joke. Seeing this made me really happy. They even kept the stretch marks.

This thread is fucking awesome, as a dude that pretty much has the same body type I couldn't be happier, it's hard being that big boi. Always conscious of what ya got but in a negative way due to lil dicks in school saying you got titties. I'll see more titties then you Steve!!!

I lost 100lbs and I still have this body type, I would think I’m not working hard enough or sacrificing enough to have body type #1. Glad to see the thicc boys celebrated lol.

I'm not gonna lie, seeing a male model with a body type similar to mine is very rare, and this positive attention is making me feel better than I would have guessed.

Queen RiRi just won our heart all over again with her thoughtful choice. And, we’re sure she has taken the industry by storm too. It’s high time companies start being more inclusive. You are beautiful irrespective of your size or gender! What do you think about this new collection? Tell us!
