Have you ever had friends who have zero regard for showing up on time? Like, if you make a plan to meet at 3 PM, they will start getting ready at 3 PM, leave their house at 4 PM and then arrive at the destination at 5 PM? I absolutely HATE those kinds of people because it goes on to show that they do not respect your time and treat it as a joke.
A user on Reddit took to the r/India subreddit to share how they are extremely punctual but their friends are not and are always an hour or two late.
“As a person I tend to be extremely punctual and reach places at least 30 minutes before time. However, my friends in India have extreme lack of respect for time and punctuality. If we ever plan for lunch at 1 PM they will surely make it start from 3:30-4 PM,” the user wrote.
The user went on to add that recently, they were supposed to catch a train scheduled for 1 PM with their friends. Even though the user reached the station by 12 PM, their friends reached the station at 1.30 PM and missed it. What is worse is that the friends expected the user to get off the train.
“Few days back I had to catch a train with few friends. It was scheduled to depart at 13:00 hours. I reached the station by 12:00 pm. Boarded the train comfortably and kept waiting for my friends. They missed it and expected me to get down from the train as well. Apparently, they started at 12:45 from home and reach the station at 13:30. I find such people extremely inconvenient and have been losing friends due to this.”
