We are all more than familiar with the quirks and quips that come with our desi parents’ generation. For instance, how the word ‘sorry’ doesn’t exist in their dictionary and they apologize by saying, “khaana kha le” or “I gave birth to you”. But have you ever looked at their photo albums and wondered why they were mostly so awkward while posing for the camera?
A social media user recreated these awkward signature poses of our parents’ generation and compiled them into a hilarious video. The title of the video is – ‘How our parents used to take pictures’ and it looks exactly like my parents’ photo albums. Check it out:

Wearing a traditional white salwar-kameez with brown kolhapuri chappals and a dupatta draped over her head, the woman recreates several poses one by one. Mimicking the expressionless face some of our parents had while getting their photos clicked, she poses around the house like in front of a wall, behind the tree, on the stairs, and at the gate.
Here are some of the reactions:
Lol so true especially the total and obstinate lack of smiles

Unlike us who grew up with smartphones and selfies, my parents and other relatives still end up posing like this. Do you find any similarities between her video and your parents’ poses as well? Tell us!
