Hyderabad Paan Vendor Nabbed By Police For Selling Weed-Infused Chocolates

With Holi just around the corner, there’s something other than colours that many people are looking forward to, and that’s ‘maal’. You know what I’m talking about.

Because man’s love for maal dates back to 500 BC, according to a study which claimed that our ancestors used to smoke extremely strong weed! Now, for people who find it difficult to smoke, other forms of maal are made readily available like the Holi-special thandai, weed-infused cakes, and weed-chocolates!

Which is probably why a 41-year-old paan vendor in Hyderabad was selling weed-infused chocolates at his shop near Fateh Nagar. According to a report by The New Indian Express, he had in his possession over 200 flavoured chocolates infused with marijuana. However, the man was recently nabbed by the Excise Police after they executed a raid.

The police were tipped off by somebody who knew about the chocolates. They found 1.2 kg chocolates in 5 packets. Each packet contained 40 chocolates.

On interrogation, the paan vendor revealed that the chocolates were made by another man who allegedly sold them to several paan vendors between Fateh Nagar and Sanath Nagar road.

The peddlers churned the marijuana into a fine powder and mixed it with chocolate powder. This then was used to make the chocolates.

“Since the last two years, peddlers are finding new ways to sell banned drugs. But the excise department is maintaining a strict vigil,” said the Assistant Excise Superintendent.

For stoners who love chocolates, these weed-infused chocolates must have been a dream come true!
