One-Eyed Puppy Born In Thailand Named Kevin After The ‘Minions’, See Pics

Growing up, I wasn’t a fan of superhero characters, but I do remember Cyclops featured in several Marvel comics who could emit powerful beams of energy. If you don’t remember him, then you must have seen the one-eyed cute Minion, Kevin. Well, we just found a little pup that looks like the mini avatar of the fictional character.

This mutant puppy was born at owner Somjai Phummaman and his wife Amphan’s house in Chachoengsao, central Thailand, reported Mirror.

The pup was born with one eye in the middle of his head and a facial deformity. The couple named him Kevin after the Minions cartoon character. Sharing how he discovered the special puppy in the litter of two delivered by his pet dog, Somjai, a government worker, said that ‘he was getting dressed when he noticed his pet Aspin dog sitting on his bed having given birth to two puppies’.

As he was putting them in a basket to keep them warm, he noticed the fascinating puppy. The pooch that is currently healthy, and is being bottle fed by his owner was dubbed a real-life ‘Cyclops’, said sources.

After the couple shared pictures of the puppy, people started visiting their house to have a glance at the miracle dog. Some residents also pointed out the puppy’s similarity to the cartoon character from the popular animated comedy film, ‘Minions’. Somjai said:

“People said that he looks like the yellow cartoon character with one eye, so we can nickname him after that.”

He added, “We are wishing that the puppy survives, even though it has a deformity. We want to keep him as a pet until he grows up. Everybody has been amazed by him and saying that it is a lucky sign.”

Somjai’s daughter Parn, said, “It is still not clear if the puppy’s single eye will function properly as it typically takes around two months for a dog’s sight to develop fully.” She added that the family will be taking care of their special doggo themselves, reported Mail Online.

“We have taken good care of the puppy so far. He cannot be breastfed the proper way, so we have to hand feed him with the milk bottle.” Somjai also said that although many of their wants to keep Kevin, the family will raise the puppy and his mother on their own.

Neighbours across the village said the doggo was the ‘lucky puppy’ and started using the day he was born for their lottery numbers.

This isn’t the first time that a doggo born with a deformity made headlines. Earlier, a ‘unicorn doggo’ was born with a tail on its forehead. Aren’t these special ones the cutest?
