Hundreds Of Commuters Strip To Underwear For ‘No Trousers Tube Ride’ In London

‘No Pants Ride’ which began as a prank in New York City back in 2002, has now become an annual worldwide gimmick.

People of all ages decked in warm winter clothes on the top and bare at the bottom took part in the ‘No trousers tube ride’ in London, recently.

Hundreds of people led by The Stiff Upper Lip Society gathered outside the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square in London. They then boarded different tubes heading to several parts of the city, reported Daily Mail. While the regular travelers were left baffled, the participants enjoyed their ride on the tube donning bright and colorful underwears.

Pictures and videos from the event have gone viral on social media, where commuters are seen comfortably reading, walking and posing for pictures during their commute in underwears.

The ‘No Pants Tube Ride’ celebrated its tenth anniversary in London this year. This baffling tradition is a much-awaited annual event in several parts of the world including Tokyo, Prague, Berlin, Jerusalem, Moscow among others. People shed off their pants to hop the tubes and metro half-naked. As per the reports, apart from London the event also took place in Berlin and Prague during the weekend.

Do something like this in India and you will be held behind the bars! Thank God, this specific western vibe hasn’t yet reached our country.
