Dulquer Salmaan Says There’s No Cancel Culture In The South, Heard About It First In Bollywood

The Hindi film industry recently got infested with the ‘cancel culture’ with several movies and even Bollywood stars being canceled by moviegoers and people online. Seems like Bollywood is the only industry that is plagued by it.

Indian actor Dulquer Salmaan who predominantly works in South Indian movies recently said that he was introduced to the boycott trend only when he stepped into Bollywood.

Hindustan Times quoted him saying:

“The boycott culture is overpowering these days because of social media. You can write anything (on social media), so people start writing things with their own agendas, without any responsibilities. There is no cancel culture in the south, we are hearing about it first in Bollywood.”

Good that the South Indian industry isn’t afflicted with it as the boycott culture is unnecessary and toxic. What do you think?
