Noticed the date and day today? It’s 13th. Friday the 13th.
We all grew up on lores about the stories of Friday the 13th. Though a western superstition, the occurrences are scary as hell. And, horror movies, though we get shit-scared, are a must-watch to commemorate the day.
But here’s something you can watch. From the house of Marvel comes a superhero-horror movie that is making us suppress our screams with our hands over our mouths. Uploaded by 20th Century Fox, the trailer of The New Mutants just dropped and we’re going, ‘Mummaaa’!
Helmed by Josh Boone ( the man behind The Fault In Our Stars), the film is a spin-off of the X-Men series and is the eleventh film in the franchise. It stars Maise Williams as Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, Charlie Heaton as Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Sunspot and Blu Hunt as Mirage. The film is incidentally also releasing on a Friday which is a 13th!
The trailer is full of scary moments and you’ll be left feeling a bit unsettled. There’s something new to fear. No kidding! Go watch and get scared.
