Mumbai Cop Saves Doggo During Heavy Rain & Floods, Heartwarming Video Goes Viral

The Mumbai monsoon has given people a much-needed respite from the summer heat. At the same time, the heavy rains have also caused traffic congestions, flooding and trains being cancelled. The Chief Minister’s office has also declared holidays for 2 days and advised citizens to stay indoors. The Navy has been roped in to provide relief to stranded Mumbaikars and evacuate certain areas. Amidst the rescue operations taking place across the city, a small but heartwarming incident has come to light.

In a video that has been posted on Twitter by Mumbai Police, an officer named PC Prakash Pawar can be seen rescuing a dog from flood waters.

The dog can be seen swimming towards the officer who scooped him up and took him to the side of the elevated road. The post has already amassed over 3,500 retweets and 17,700 likes in a day.

People quickly noticed the kind act and showered praise on the cop for assisting not just humans, but animals as well.

Not just Mumbai police, but officials in Madhya Pradesh too have been praised for going above and beyond the call of duty and helping out man’s best friend. When MP cops arrested a family for murder which left their pet ownerless, they bought him to the police station and started taking care of him. How amazing is that?
