There are bad movies, and then there are the bad movies. Movies so bad, they are in your memory forever – with the great movies you will remember forever too. Some of these movies not only evoke bad reactions from the audience, they also evoke regret from the actors who have acted in them and all the people who have worked on that movie.
Sometimes, these movies are made  literal outcasts too, where people WANT to forget that they were really made. And sometimes the whole film fraternity refuses to associate itself with the people who acted in the movie.
These actors do get a few roles here and there, but their “career” in the literal sense is almost over. Let’s take a look-see at some of the unfortunate people who made bad movie choices.
1. Superman Returns
Victim – Brandon Routh
Brandon Routh is 6′ 4” tall and is a handsome bloke. You do not get cast in a Superman movie if you don’t have the looks. And you know what, the movie was not badly made, but it did not resonate with the audience. No one felt for the Clark Kent or Superman. No one identified with any of the characters and the movie bombed.
And it took Brandon Routh with it to the bottom of the ocean. And he was just 27!
2. Catwoman
Victim – Halle Berry
How does one talented actor who won the Academy Award for acting the previous year go and do this movie? Her costume was impractical and ridiculous. How did she even fight the baddies in that skimpy costume? She was such a great actor and we never got to see her in a starring role thereafter.
3. Love Story 2050
Victim – Harman Baweja
He did look like Hrithik Roshan, but lacked his acting chops. The movie was horrible, and thank god Priyanka Chopra did not sink with this one. We are very happy with the real Hrithik Roshan, thank you.
4. Star Wars
Victim – Hayden Christensen
Bad, bad acting. Bad script. Bad direction. Bad dialogues. It did really well at the box office, though.
Hayden Christensen did not get a significant role after the prequels. And to think he had Ewan McGregor backing him up. I really hope the new Star Wars movie is better.
5. The Love Guru
Victim – Mike Myers
o be honest, I loved the movie. But that was because I loved Mike Myers. The movie was horrible in depicting Indians and made fun of everything possibly Indian.
The jokes were bad and one can see that even Mike Myers could not save the movie. We didn’t see him in many movies after that, and it is sad, because he is a really funny guy.
6. Deshdrohi
Victim – Kamaal Rashid Khan (there is still some debate whether he is an actor or not)
He wanted to make a movie that was entirely based on what he thought was right. The dialogues sucked and so did the whole movie, and people watch it as a comedy movie rather than an “action” movie as it is marketed.
Technically, his career is not really over because he can still produce movies because he has a lot of cash, but his career was over when it released.
This is one movie I do not have to elaborate on here. It was bad. Period.
7. Deshdrohi – again
Victim – Gracy Singh
It takes a really special movie to sink multiple careers. Deshdrohi is one of them.
And for people who do not remember Gracy Singh, she played the beautiful love interest of Bhuvan in Lagaan. And also played a good role in Munnabhai MBBS. Then Deshdrohi happened.

8. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Victim – Sean Connery
Yes, the same movie that had Nasseruddin Shah in it too. The movie had decent special effects, but had no center. It bombed at the box office and the only reason we remember this movie is because it is aired so many times on TV channels.
One can argue that Sean Connery was old and was approaching the twilight of his career, but this movie really brought the curtains down on his illustrious career.
9. Dragonball: Evolution
Victim – Justin Chatwin
You do not mess with the childhood classics. We adored the DBZ cartoon when it aired on TV, and then you had to go and make this abomination?
In what universe does James Chatwin even look like Goku? In my opinion, he totally deserved this one.
Also, bad, bad hairstyle.
10. Batman
Victim – Michael Keaton
Michael Keaton is still a brilliant actor. In the few roles he has gotten after this movie that is. Just like Superman Returns, the movie is not badly made, but failed to impress the choosy comic-con crowd.
They still count Michael Keaton as one of the best Batmans though. That should be a consolation, right?
He did get a good role in Birdman though. Maybe his career is not exactly over?
11. Batman & Robin
Victim – Chris O’Donnell
Horrible movie. Horrible costumes. Horrible acting. Everything was horrible in this one. And Chris O’Donnell was handsome and had a future.
This movie is counted as one of the worst Batman movies to be ever made, and Batman fans never ever forgave Chris O’Donnell. We never saw him again.
12. Striptease
Victim – Demi Moore
No regrets here. She is an okay actress who happened to act in a film that was basically soft porn. Done and dusted.
13. Passion Of Christ
Victim – Jim Caviezel
The movie made every person cringe because the scenes were very realistic and lifelike. Jim Caviezel was a promising actor with the classic good looks and just like Superman, you don’t get to play Jesus if you ain’t handsome.
We did see him is other movies here and there, but no more starring roles in major movies.
14. Karz
Victim – Himesh Reshammiya
He should have stuck to singing. No. He should have stuck to…….uh…….a regular job somewhere obscure.
15. RGV Ki AAG
Victim – Prashant Raj
Probably the greatest regret of Bollywood in all its history, Ram Gopal Varma’s AAG was a disaster in the truest sense. And Prashant Raj had the misfortune of being introduced in this movie.
I am pretty sure not a lot of you readers even recall his face, let alone his name.
