The award is given to scientists whose products have the potential to provide significant practical value to society.

Among Ramesh’s work is an ultra fast imaging technology which is able to capture light at one-trillion frames per second! With it, we can even view the flow of light itself!

Dorothy Lemelson, the chair of the Lemelson Foundation, had this to say about the inventor.

“We are thrilled to honour Ramesh Raskar, whose breakthrough research is impacting how we see the world.”

Ramesh Raskar, you have indeed done your country proud!
