Met Gala 2021: A Peek At The Best, Most Powerful & Worst Celebrity Looks

The Met Gala is back! This is the time when many of the world’s biggest celebrities get to dress in gorgeous/outrageous/downright ridiculous outfits while the rest of us get to sit back, grab a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy the show…well, virtually.

This year’s Met didn’t disappoint. With the theme being “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”, designers got a chance to explore American fashion and interpret it in their own way. First, let’s look at some of the best looks seen this year.

1. We had to start with Queen JLO! Jennifer Lopez made an entry wearing a Ralph Lauren gown with a high slit, a faux fur wrap and a cowgirl hat.

2. Supermodel Iman Abdulmajid looks like the Sun Goddess in this absolutely gorgeous Harris Reed outfit.

3. In 2019, Lady Gaga had 4 red carpet looks. One would think that no one could top that. But then came Lil Nas X. This was his first look:

4. Only Timothée Chalamet can come to MET Gala in a pair of sweatpants and Converse sneakers and look bomb AF.

5. Billie Eilish was seen in a custom Oscar de la Renta gown and boy, did she look like a dream!

11. For the first time ever, Rihanna didn’t steal the show. Her boyfriend ASAP Rocky did who literally showed up in a rajai.

14. Let us take a moment to celebrate what a legend Naomi Osaka is. Dressed in Louis Vuitton, she made an important personal and political statement. According to Vogue, the print on her outfit and her hair symbolises Japanese heritage and represents her biracial identity.
