Marriages do take time to flourish. Building trust, love, and care for your partner require time and efforts. Hence, the issue of infidelity and doubt often troubles a newly wedded couple at the beginning of their marriage. Sometimes, such issues lead to intense quarrels and arguments between the couple that might take a horrific turn.
28-year-old Muniappan tied the knot with Nivetha, 19-year-old woman eight months back. The couple used to live together in Mettukaddai village of Tamil Nadu. They often used to indulge in serious arguments as the man suspected his wife’s fidelity, reports Hindustan Times.
After one such argument over trust issues on Monday, the man stabbed his wife to death in anger and severed her head from the body. He put her head in a bag and packed the body in a gunny sack, tied it to his bike and rode towards Perundurai canal to dump her body.
But some locals noticed the dead woman’s legs sticking out of the bag and chased the man. Scared of getting caught, he jumped into the canal. Police were informed about the entire incident and the man was soon held by them. He is now under custody and charged with his wife’s murder.
We wonder when will the news of such heinous crimes against women and children in our country end! We hope that a strict set of rules is enforced by the government and the judiciary to ensure women’s safety in the country.
