Time and again, we have seen couples taking the law in their hand and coming up with bizarre ideas to punish their partners for having an extra-marital affair.
Earlier, a man ended his relationship with his wife after he found about her affair via Google Street View. A woman put her husband in a cage and threw him into a river because he cheated on her.
Well, this time it’s a married woman’s brothers who got into trouble for taking the law into their own hands. According to The Times Of India, Jeevan Rathod hailing from Chiklod village in Kapadwaj taluka of Kheda in Gujarat fell in love with a married woman named Lakshmi.
The duo spoke to each other over calls and messages for two years until Lakshmi’s brothers, Dharmendra and Sanjay Parmar, found out about their affair.
First, they tried to warn Jeevan to stop talking to Lakshmi. But when he didn’t pay heed to their warnings, things took an ugly turn.
One fine day, Dharmendra and Sanjay called Jeevan to have a word with them. On meeting him, they took him to an isolated place and thrashed him until he got unconscious. Jeevan was then stuffed in a sack and dropped inside a stinking gutter at around 10 pm on Saturday night, reports Times Now.
“On Saturday, the two approached him, claiming they wanted to talk to him. They took him to a secluded culvert where they thrashed him till he fell unconscious, stuffed him in a sack, and dumped him in a gutter,” stated the FIR.
The 29-year-old stayed inside the sewer for almost 24 hours before he was rescued by two passersby who heard his pleas from inside the stink hole. The man was immediately taken to the hospital. He then filed a complaint against Dharmendra and Sanjay Parmar.
A police case of abduction, criminal intimidation, assault, and abetment under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the two accused.
